Hey, been pondering on the thought of hunting in Croatia. I've heard that the nature there is just breathtaking and there is a great variety of game. Can't help but wonder when's the best time of year to get out there? Would like to plan the trip wisely to get the most out of it. Anyone got some tips or experiences?

Look, my experience might differ from yours, but for me, the sweet spot was late September and early October. Around this time, the weather was mild and you could enjoy the beautiful autumnal landscapes of Croatia. The deer season is generally open then, and you can also try your luck with boars. If you're into bird hunting, that's the season for some lovely partridge hunting as well. Just always make sure you're familiar with local hunting regulations and have all the necessary permits. Would be interested to hear, anyone else has some different experiences?

Well, my aim's so bad I couldn't hit water if I fell out of a boat. But go in the fall—I hear it's beautiful and the game never saw me coming... literally! What do you reckon, guys?

Not to rain on the parade, but keep in mind some areas are overhunted, meaning sometimes it's a long shot to find good game. Also, heavy tourism in certain spots can make for a less than peaceful hunting experience. Choose your spot wisely! Have you had any spots that were unexpectedly crowded or just void of game?
