  • Paklenica National Park offers exceptional routes for climbers of all levels.
  • Omis is known for its limestone cliffs and proximity to the Cetina River, ideal for combined climbing and water activities.
  • The island of Hvar provides a unique climbing experience with picturesque sea views.
So, I'm a big fan of rock climbing and I'm planning to take a trip to Croatia . I've read a bit about Paklenica and it sounds pretty awesome. Just wanted to know, are there any other spots in Croatia that are great for rock climbing? Any hidden gems that are less known? And any particular time of year when it's best to go there for climbing? Would be cool to hear from folks who have done climbing there. Cheers!

Oh absolutely, there are some sweet climbing spots outside of Paklenica as well. You should totally check out Omis — it's got some thrilling routes right by the sea. The vibe is super chill too. Another less crowded spot is Markezina Greda, definitely worth a look if you're into more of a tranquil setting. Best time to hit these places? Late spring through early autumn, you'll get the best weather for climbing. Happy scaling!

Totally, the climbing scene in Croatia is top-notch! Along with what\'s been mentioned, don\'t miss checking out Vela Draga if you\'re up for some incredible limestone formations. It\'s a bit of a hidden gem and absolutely breathtaking. Enjoy the adventure!

Honestly, I found some of the routes in Istria pretty underwhelming compared to the hype. Might want to keep expectations in check there.
