Been itching to see some real breathtaking nature recently. So, got my eyes set on Croatia . You know, the beaches, national parks and all. So, anyone with any nugget of knowledge about where exactly in Croatia can I experience natural beauty that will knock my socks off?

If you're planning to head towards Croatia and you're a big fan of nature's wonder, you'd definitely can't miss out Plitvice Lakes National Park. I heard the waterfalls there are just out-of-this-world stunning. And the colors, from azure to green, grey or blue, the colors change constantly depending on the quantity of minerals or organisms in the water and the angle of sunlight. I believe it must be an exhilarating sensory experience!

Also, don't forget about the Northern Velebit National Park. As its name suggested, it's part of the larger Velebit Mountain. It's like this vast wilderness made up of numerous hiking paths, unique karstic formations, and amazing diversity of flora and fauna. The view on the top must be a spectacular sight!

Now, here's something a bit off the beaten track - the Blue Cave on the island of Biševo. Imagine yourself surrounded by glowing, pulsating blue lights in a cool, serene environment. That'd be a trip to remember, don't you think?

So that's it from my side but would love to know, what are some lesser-known natural wonders in Croatia that took your breath away, anyone?

Oh, absolutely. Heard of the remarkable Zlatni Rat beach on the island of Brač? It's not just your usual beach. The pebble beach is unique with a shape that shifts with the changes in tide, current and wind. Now tell me, where else you'd find such a living and breathing beach?

And then there's the Kornati National Park, which is basically made up of 89 islands, islets and reefs. Makes for a majestic sight, doesn't it? Wondering about water clarity and beautiful underwater life? Yes, that’s right there too! The untouched nature just adds to its charm.

I have also stumbled upon information about the Stiniva Cove on the island of Vis. The cliffs enclose a small pebble beach with crystal clear waters, which can be reached by a narrow passage. A paradise hidden away from the world - sounds exciting!

But hey, that's just scratching the surface. I would definitely suggest doing some in-depth research beforehand or maybe ask locals for advice. Oh, speaking of locals, has anyone here ever lived or traveled extensively in Croatia? Any hidden nature gems you'd recommend paying a visit to?

I've read about the marvel of the Galesnjak Island, also known as Lovers' Island. Anyone ever been there and can share the experience? Or any other peculiarly shaped formations in Croatia that caught your eye?

Gotta mention Mljet National Park. It's an untouched oasis with a stunning saltwater lake. Worth a punt, don't you think?

Totally second the Mljet National Park suggestion. It's this outstanding blend of rich flora and fauna, marine life, and historical heritage. It not only captivates with its lush vegetation, but also the remarkable salt lakes - Veliko and Malo Jezero, and the islet of St. Mary with an ancient Benedictine monastery on it. Imagine hopping on a bike or rent a kayak to explore this mystic island!

Oh, and one more thing. If you're in for a unique bumpy ride, get to the barren landscape of Pag Island. Heard of the stunning moonlike fields there? Plus, if you are a foodie at heart, this island is famous for its distinct cheese. Worth indulging yourself.

But hey, these are just a few drops in the ocean. I bet there're tons of other natural wonders in Croatia that we haven't even touched upon. Anyone else here who can chip in? Any must-see spots off the tourist trail or something like that?
